There are no ‘fit and forget’ solutions when it comes to power or energy management. That’s why we provide industry leading after sales service with manufacturer approved service engineers and partners. Quite simply we are available 24-7 to solve power protection and energy management problems.

Our after Sales Car Policies work hand in with the following directives but are not limited to them:

WEEE – Directive 2002/96/EC – Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (the “WEEE” directive). The WEEE directive requires that products sold into the EU be collected at the end of their lifespan. Critical Power Supplies Ltd operates an end of life management policy which ensures as much of the equipment is recycled as possible at the end of its life.

RoHS – Directive 2002/95/EC – Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (the “RoHS” directive). The RoHS directive restricts the use of chemicals in products of any description sold into EU countries and these chemicals are as follows:

1. Lead (Pb)
2. Mercury (Hg)
3. Cadmium (Cd)
4. Hexavalent chromium (Cr6+)
5. Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB)
6. Polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE)

Note : PBB and PBDE are flame retardants used in several plastics.

The maximum permitted concentrations are 0.1% or 1000 ppm (except for cadmium, which is limited to 0.01% or 100 ppm) by weight of homogeneous material. This means that the limits do not apply to the weight of the finished product, or even to a component, but to any single substance that could (theoretically) be separated mechanically—for example, the sheath on a cable or the tinning on a component lead.

We supply solutions from a managed supply chain that has been designed to take the hassle out of critical power and energy projects for you. Site surveys are always recommended for installations that cannot be classed as ‘plug and play’. Our power experts often attend sites to discuss roll-outs, turn-key packages and assess an installation to ensure it complies with our latest quality, health and safety, and environmental management systems.

Full turn-key packages can include other aspects of a data centre installation including air conditioning, cold aisle closures, access control, fire protection systems and emergency lighting. Our aim is to provide clients witha project management approach that is second to none in our industry.
