The iGen is a fully integrated fuel cell system incorporating a fuel processor, a PEM fuel cell stack and robust power electronics and controls for automated battery charging. A remote monitoring user interface is incorporated for service and troubleshooting.

Applications for the iGen PEM fuel cell

The iGen is designed for automated battery charging. It constantly monitors the battery and when it senses low voltage it starts up to recharge the battery and power the load. The iGen fuel cell system is ideal for use in PV (PhotoVoltaic) or wind hybrid systems during spells of unfavourable weather: reducing costs through decreased PV panel size and elimination of redundant battery strings.
