The Unipower Telecom’s INV2500-HS Series from Critical Power Supplies are 2.5kVA sine-wave inverter modules which are available with either 2- or 5-unit shelves. They operate off a 48VDC (42-56V) source and produce a 115 or 230VAC output. The inverter system is scalable from 2.5kVA for one module to 30kVA for 12 modules which operate in parallel. The low distortion 50 or 60Hz sine wave is produced by microprocessor controlled power semiconductors using an advanced high frequency, pulse-width modulation technique which achieves 90% efficiency and 7.2VA per cubic inch power density.

The inverter modules are hot-swap and field replaceable. In the shelves they are automatically paralleled for higher output power and N+1 redundnacy. They are fully isolated from the battery.

The modules have input and output circuit breaker protection and high-surge output capability. Front panel LEDs indicate inverter status and a Form C relay alarm output is available on the back of the shelves.
