How to buy- Description
Designed to help users reduce their energy bills by storing free solar energy or low-cost electricity from the grid. Powervault 3 is also designed to provide grid services and interact with other smart appliances in the home, which will provide additional value and benefits to the user.
All functionality is automated and can be controlled via the online portal.Powervault’s products empower homeowners and small businesses to take control of their electricity usage and reduce both their electricity costs and CO2 emissions via four routes:
- storing free surplus solar energy generated on-site to use when needed, instead of exporting to the grid in the day when the grid often does not need it;
- arbitraging new Time of Use or Dynamic electricity tariffs (e.g. Octopus Go and Agile) to import electricity from the grid when it is cheap and low CO2 intensity to reduce demand on the grid at peak times when it is expensive and high CO2 intensity;
- through the Powervault portal our customers for the first time get a detailed insight into their real-time energy consumption, enabling them to make well-informed decisions about when to turn things on and off and minimise their energy consumption; and
- by working smartly with energy suppliers, DNO’s and the National Grid, our GRIDFLEX platform enables fleets of Powervault batteries to provide flexibility to the grid, such as exporting electricity at particular moments when the grid needs it to prevent power cuts.
All of the above move electricity demand away from carbon-intensive generation to renewable generation in line with the Government’s targets.

Detect system overloads, loose defective components and damaged switchgear. Infrared electrical testing finds hot, dangerous problems quickly. Infrared electrical inspections find hot spots caused by defects in connections and components.
Infrared thermography is used to find areas of excess heat (caused by increased resistance) so that problems can be corrected before a component fails, causing damage to the component, creating safety hazards and productivity loss. Because increased heating is a sign of failure, infrared is the best diagnostic tool available for finding these hot connections in the early stages of degeneration.
