Battery Backup and VFI Operation Protect Critical Loads
The SmartOnline® S3M30KXD IGBT UPS supports the continuous availability of your most important loads through all power conditions, providing a compact backup power platform that’s easy to manage and inexpensive to operate. Sophisticated voltage and frequency independentoperation and advanced IGBT rectifier technology with DSP control deliver reliable output power quality. Providing up to 30kVA of clean, continuous power, this 3-phase UPS system is perfect for critical applications in IT, communications, corporate, commercial, retail, financial, security, transportation, emergency and edge infrastructure environments.
Best-in-Class Footprint for Easy Integration into Your Network Application
This on-line double-conversion UPS system has a very small footprint of just 0.24 square meters. It requires less valuable space in your facility, and you can install the UPS system in spaces that would previously have required expensive retrofitting.
Efficient Operation and Design Reduces Cost of Ownership
This UPS benefits from highly efficient transformer-free double-conversion technology that delivers operating cost savings. It achieves 94% efficiency in double-conversion mode and up to 98% in ECO mode, reducing your power and cooling costs. A low THDiimproves generator compatibility. A low THDvand active power factor correction improve output performance. The hardware and firmware platform design reduces the number of unique boards, improving mean time to repairand resulting in reduced downtime. Built-in static and maintenance bypass transfer UPS load to utility power during faults, overloads and maintenance, which also avoids costly system downtime.
Supplies Reliable Battery Backup with Expandable Runtime Options
Internal 9Ah batteries provide 17of support at half load and 5.5at full load with zero transfer time. Adding external battery cabinets, such as BP480V09 , provides extended runtime. The S3M30KXD automatically restarts after a lengthy power outage.
Intuitive LCD Interface Delivers Important Performance Information at a Glance
The interactive front-panel LCD interface displays critical operating conditions and diagnostic data, including operating mode, input/output voltage, load, battery voltage, backup runtime and fault conditions. Four LEDs provide information about line, bypass, battery and fault status.
Optional WEBCARDLX Network Interface Offers 24/7 Remote Access for Monitoring and Control
The optional WEBCARDLXwith the latest version of PowerAlert Device Manager firmwareprovides enhanced remote management capabilities, including customizable dashboard graphs to fit user preferences. The PADM20 upgrade and Tripp Lite’s PowerAlert Element Managersoftware form a powerful tool for expanding maintenance functions in large installations, including firmware update checks and backup and restoration of device configurations.
Parallel Capability Provides Additional Capacity
Connect up to three S3M30KXD units in parallel using separate/shared battery cabinets for increased capacity or for redundancy.

4. IR Thermal Imaging Surveys – Infrared electrical inspection. Infrared electrical testing finds hot, dangerous problems quickly. Infrared electrical inspections find hot spots caused by defects in connections and components. – Contact us for more information.

Detect system overloads, loose defective components and damaged switchgear. Infrared electrical testing finds hot, dangerous problems quickly. Infrared electrical inspections find hot spots caused by defects in connections and components.

Infrared thermography is used to find areas of excess heat (caused by increased resistance) so that problems can be corrected before a component fails, causing damage to the component, creating safety hazards and productivity loss. Because increased heating is a sign of failure, infrared is the best diagnostic tool available for finding these hot connections in the early stages of degeneration.

5. Switchgear – Contact us for more information.

Switchgear maintenance is essential for efficient save plant operation and prolonged life span in the field Switchgear should be maintained as follows.

  • Live Maintenance – Unintrusive and consists of taking metering values, carrying out visual inspections and a thermal imaging survey of the switchboard. This is recommended to be carried out yearly.
  • Breaker Maintenance – Switchboard would need to be Isolated and all ACB’s and MCCB’s are maintained including visual and mechanical checks, greasing and secondary injection testing of the trip units. This is recommended to be carried out every 2 years.
  • Full Isolated Maintenance – Switchboard would need to be fully isolated from upstream supplies (HV). Breakers are maintained as per the above but also full maintenance carried out of the Switchboard to clean all compartments and carry out tightness checking of busbars and terminations etc. This is recommended to be carried out every 4 years.
